| 自己紹介 | こんにちは。はじめまして。My name is Darie! I am from the Philippines but have worked and lived in Japan for five years. I recently returned home to spend time with my family and pet dogs—two-year-old Shih Tzu, Milo, and seventeen-year-old Aspin, Whitey. During my free time, I typically watch Japanese dramas or anime (currently watching Solo Leveling and Sakamoto Days) and then read random books (still on the first few pages of Atomic Habits by James Clear). When I was in university, I balanced my studies while volunteering as a teacher/facilitator for a non-government organization. We, the volunteers, taught, managed, and facilitated workshops among youth about self-esteem, leadership, and various aspects that can empower them. I remember teaching them how to create proposals for their community project, and I am glad to have been part of their journey to becoming educated and empowered individuals. They`re now professionals. I graduated with a BA in English as a scholar and successfully passed the Civil Service-Professional exam. I later pursued studying the Japanese language which led me to holding an N2 level in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test. I also experienced conversations with English natives when I was working in the BPO industry. During my time in Japan, I loved talking and exchanging ideas/opinions with my senior Japanese colleagues. They taught me their language, and I also helped them with basic English. I have worked with Japanese people for five years which is why I understand their struggles in learning English (just as I continue to learn Japanese). There was even a moment when being multilingual made me question, “Am I forgetting the English language now that I can also speak Japanese?”. Out of curiosity, I took the TOEIC exam and achieved a score of 925 points without any review. I believe I have the skills and the capabilities that led me to think, “Oh! I need to share it, I want to be of help to others, especially to my Japanese friends who want to learn”. Then, I realized that teaching is my calling. Now that I have completed my employment contract, I aspire to be an English teacher in Japan one day. I am currently taking TEFL course to further enhance my skills. If you ever find it challenging to learn the English language, allow me to help you by explaining concepts using Japanese. I will do my best to help you achieve your goals. Preparing for an exam? See you in my class! こんにちは！はじめまして。 ダリーと申します！ 私はフィリピン出身です。5年間日本で働き、暮らしてきました。最近、家族やペットの犬たち（2歳のシーズー犬のミロと17歳のアスピンのホワイティー）と一緒に過ごすために帰国しました。フリータイムには、日本のドラマやアニメ（現在は『ソロ・レベリング』と『坂本デイズ』を見ています。あとは本を読んだりしています。（まだジェームズ・クリアの『Atomic Habits』の最初の数ページを読んでいます）。 大学時代、私は非政府組織の教師/ファシリテーターとしてボランティア活動をしながら、勉強と両立していました。私たちボランティアは、自尊心、リーダーシップ、そして若者に力を与えるさまざまな側面について、若者を対象にワークショップを指導、管理、促進しました。私は、若者にコミュニティ プロジェクトの提案書の作成方法を教えたことを覚えています。教育を受け、彼らの旅の一部になれたことを嬉しく思います。彼らはプロフェッショナルになりました。 現在、日本語能力試験N2レベルです。また、BPO業界で働いていたときに、英語のネイティブとの会話も経験しました。 日本にいた間、私は先輩の日本人の同僚と話したり、意見を交換したりするのが大好きでした。彼らは日本語を教えてくれました。私も基本的な英語を彼らに教えていました。5年間日本人と一緒に働いてきたので、彼らが英語を学ぶのに苦労していることを理解しています（私が日本語を学び続けているのと同じように）。マルチリンガルであることから、「日本語も話せるようになったので、英語を忘れているのだろうか？」と疑問に思った瞬間もありました。好奇心からTOEIC試験を受け、復習なしで925点を獲得しました。私は、「ああ！これを共有する必要がある、他の人、特に学びたい日本の方の助けになりたい」と思うようになるほどのスキルと能力を持っていると思います。そして、教えることが私の天職だと気づきました。現在はスキルをさらに高めるためにTEFLコースを受講しています。 楽しく、リラックスして、フレンドリーな雰囲気の中で学習しましょう。また、歌ったり映画を見たりなど、独自の言語学習方法があれば、ぜひ教えてください。私のクラスで一緒に学習する方法を見つけましょう。 私のクラスでお会いできることを楽しみにしております。 |

- Darie先生は、気さくで話しやすいので初心者さんでも緊張せずにレッスンできると思います。[文法が苦手]と伝えていたので、特に注意して指摘してもらえたのが良かったです。強化したいポイントや苦手な箇所があれば、事前に先生に伝えておくとより充実した２５分のレッスンになると思います。時折日本語を話す先生なので、英語だけでは不安・・・という方にもピッタリだと思います。
