| 自己紹介 | Hello! I am Teacher Jez and I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Literary and Cultural Studies. In this course, I learned about the different kinds of literature from other countries in the world and at the same time, I also got to learn about each culture. However, I discovered my passion for teaching when I volunteered to teach underprivileged children about the values of life. So, I decided to attend a 5-week TESOL Certificate Program where I had the opportunity to teach English to Filipinos aged 16 and above. From then on, I knew that being a teacher is the job for me. Ever since I was a kid, I have always loved watching American movies and TV shows and I would often memorize the characters' lines for fun. I also love reading fictional books such as Percy Jackson and The Lord of the Rings. I love reading so much that I started to write my own stories at age 12! I mostly write stories for fun, but I hope to publish my own book someday. Through watching these movies and TV shows and reading these books, I learned English quite well and I want to help you, my lovely students, learn it, too! We can talk about your favorite American movies, books, songs, or we can talk about your hobbies and interests where you get to practice your conversational skills in English. I have two (2) main goals for my classes -- The first main goal is to help my students learn English, and the second is for us to learn about each other's cultures and traditions. As someone who dreams of traveling around the world to see how other people present their countries, I believe I can learn a lot about Japan by communicating with my students. What sets my classes apart is that they will always feel like a walk on the beach -- comfortable and no pressure shall be placed on the students. We can play games and do activities to make their English learning fun and easy to understand. We can do a traditional class setup or we can simply talk about anything the student wants and I will be there for them like a friend (a friend who is also helping them learn English :D). See you soon! <3 ー 皆さん、こんにちは！私は先生のジェズです。私は文学・文化研究の学士号を取得しています。このコースでは、世界各国のさまざまな文学について学び、同時にそれぞれの文化についても学びました。恵まれない子供たちに人生の価値観を教えるボランティアに参加したときに、教えることへの熱い想いに気付きました。そこで、5週間のTESOLサーティフィケート・プログラムに参加し、16歳以上のフィリピン人に英語を教える機会を得ました。そのときから、教師という仕事が自分に向いていると思いました。 子供の頃からアメリカの映画やテレビ番組を見るのが大好きで、登場人物のセリフを暗記して楽しんでいました。また、『パーシー・ジャクソン』や『ロード・オブ・ザ・リング』などの架空の本を読むのも大好きです。あまりに読書が好きなので、12歳のときに自分で物語を書き始めました！ほとんど趣味で書いていますが、いつか自分の本を出版したいと思っています。これらの映画やテレビ番組を見たり、本を読んだりすることで、私はかなり英語を勉強しました！好きなアメリカの映画や本、歌について話したり、趣味や興味のあることについて話したりして、英会話の練習をしましょう。 私のクラスには2つの主な目標があります。1つ目の主な目標は生徒さんに英語を学んでもらうこと、そして2つ目はお互いの文化や伝統を学ぶことです。世界中を旅して、他の国の人たちがどのように自分の国を表現しているのかを見てみたいという夢を持っている私にとって、生徒たちとコミュニケーションをとることで、日本について多くのことを学ぶことができると信じています。 私のレッスンクラスの特徴は、まるでビーチを散歩しているような心地よさがあり、生徒さんへのプレッシャーがないことです。 ゲームをしたり、アクティビティをしたりして、生徒さんが楽しくわかりやすく英語を学べるようにします。かっちりとしたクラス設定もできますし、生徒さんが望むことについて何でも話すこともできます。以下のリストは、私が教えることができるレッスンの種類です： 1. フリートーク 2. 状況別英会話 3. 初心者・中級者向け 4. 文法と発音 5. 海外旅行会話 皆さんとお会いし、講師として英語学習をサポートできることをとても楽しみにしています！クラスでお会いしましょう！<3 |

- Jez先生はとても指導に慣れていて、レッスン中は適切にサポートしてくれたので私も安心できました。なぜか”英語が出てこない”場面でも、良い雰囲気で待っていてくれたので焦らずにすみました。事前に教材のリクエストを送信し、苦手なポイントをお伝えしました。たった25分のレッスンでも記憶に残りやすいアプローチで指導してくださるので、とてもタメになると思います。
